EVENINGS @ GOVERNMENT HOUSE - 5 APRIL 2016 - PRESENTATION BY THE HALIFAX MUSIC CO-OP

The Halifax Music Co-op's Vesuvius Chamber Choir and Orchestra sends it soloist from its cross-province concert tour of Handel's Messiah along with Music Director John Bogardus and Guest Musician John Overton to Government House to perform solo selections from the Messiah. In addition, movements from Beethoven's monumental Kreutzer Sonata will be performed. Message of Condolence on the Passing of The Hon. Constance R. Glube

Mrs. Grant and I were saddened to learn of the death of The Honourable Constance R. Glube, OC, ONS, former Chief Justice of Nova Scotia and Chief Justice of the Court of Appeal of Nova Scotia. As the first woman Chief Justice in Canada, Chief Justice Glube was a role-model not only for women lawyers, but for all those in the practice of law. She served as a mentor to many and was greatly admired by all those who had the opportunity to work with her and to meet her.
