Steven Higgins Wins Lieutenant Governor of NS Masterworks Arts Award

Halifax, N.S. – The ambitious sculpture, Beyond the Terminating Vista (Rebuild), by artist Steve Higgins, won the Lieutenant Governor of Nova Scotia Masterworks Arts Award last night (Oct. 25). News Release: Lieutenant Governor Asks Premier-Designate to Form New Government

Lt.-Gov. J. J. Grant today, Oct. 11, received Stephen McNeil at Government House in Halifax and asked him to form a new government. He accepted the invitation and is now referred to as Premier-designate. A swearing in ceremony for the new executive council will be held in the coming weeks. On Thursday, Oct. 10, Lt.-Gov. Today we affirm the bond of friendship between the Crown and the Mi’kmaw Nation and pay tribute to the rich cultural traditions of the Mi’kmaq people in Nova Scotia.
