Winners of New Vice-Regal Wine Award Announced

Three Nova Scotia wines have been selected to receive the inaugural Lieutenant Governor's Award for Excellence in Nova Scotia Wines. The award, established by Lt.-Gov. J.J. Grant, recognizes the exceptional quality of locally sourced and produced wines and honours the dedication and passion of those involved with Nova Scotia's wine industry. Annual Garden Party at Government House, June 18

The public is invited to attend the annual lieutenant-governor's Garden Party on Wednesday, June 18, from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. Lt.-Gov. J.J. Grant and Mrs. Joan Grant will host the garden party on the grounds of Government House. Guests are invited to enjoy refreshments on the back lawn, weather permitting. Government House will be open June 7 & 8 10am-4pm for Doors Open Halifax. Guides will take visitors on a 30 minute tour of Canada's oldest vice-regal residence and the site of many historically significant events in our nation's history.
