Every year on 21 June, we mark National Aboriginal Day. On this day, we honour and celebrate Canada’s unique Indigenous culture and the achievements made by the country’s Aboriginal peoples. We acknowledge the successes made by the First Nations, Inuit and Métis peoples across all fields of endeavour including the arts, business, the environment, sports, and law, to name but a few. In Nova Scotia, we honour the Mi’kmaq and cherish the special relationship that exists between the Crown in Nova Scotia and the Mi’kmaq. Let us celebrate the people who inhabited these lands...
