The Order of Nova Scotia – 2021 Call for Nominations

Now in its 20th year, the Order of Nova Scotia is the province’s highest honour and recognizes outstanding citizens for making significant and lasting contributions to their communities. Registration for Evenings @ Government House – 23 February 2021

Registration is now open for the first event of the Winter 2021 Series of Evenings @ Government House on 23 February 2021. In celebration of African Heritage Month 2021 and in collaboration with the Halifax Public Libraries, Suzy Hansen will perform an evening of gospel and spiritual music. Government House will follow the prevailing health and safety regulations as they pertain to the COVID-19 pandemic. Lieutenant Governor Invites Iain Rankin to Form a Government

This afternoon, The Honourable Arthur J. LeBlanc, Lieutenant Governor of Nova Scotia, received The Honourable Iain Rankin following his recent election as Leader of the Nova Scotia Liberal Party. Formal Resignation of the Premier

Following his announcement in August 2020 that he would resign as Premier in early 2021, the Honourable Stephen McNeil met with the Honourable Arthur J. LeBlanc, Lieutenant Governor of Nova Scotia, at Government House this afternoon to formally tender his resignation as Premier of Nova Scotia. This resignation includes all members of the Executive Council. The Lieutenant Governor accepted this resignation and thanked Mr. McNeil for his service to Nova Scotia and his leadership as Premier for over seven years.
