Eid al-Fitr 2021

At the end of Ramadan – the holy month of fasting – Lieutenant Governor Arthur J. LeBlanc and Mrs. Patsy LeBlanc extend their Eid Mubarak wishes to those of the Islamic faith in Nova Scotia.
Eid al-Fitr, which is the festival of breaking the fast and is marked with the sighting of the crescent moon. The end of Ramadan is normally a time of Eid prayers, celebrations with family and friends, and giving alms to the poor; however, the current COVID-19 pandemic has placed restrictions on those festivities. Nonetheless, Their Honours hope that all are joyous and safe.
