Today, 15 February 2018, we celebrate the 53rd anniversary of the adoption of the Canadian Flag. 

Adopted by resolution of the Senate and House of Commons, and formalized by a Royal Proclamation of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, Queen of Canada, 28 January 1965, the National Flag of Canada (the “Maple Leaf”) was raised on 15 February 1965 at 1pm EST, Parliament Hill, Ottawa.
