In fulfilling one of his most important constitutional roles, His Honour The Honourable Arthur J. LeBlanc, ONS, QC, Lieutenant Governor of Nova Scotia, will open the First Session of the 63rd General Assembly of the Nova Scotia legislature on Thursday, 21 September by reading the speech from the throne at 1 p.m.

The speech will be televised live and will be available online. Legislative Television will broadcast the ceremony on Eastlink Digital Cable channel 95 and Eastlink Digital Cable channel 630 in high definition, Bell Community One channel 1, and Bell Community One channel 401, starting at 1 p.m. Closed captioning and sign language interpretation will also be provided.
