Government House is open to the public for guided tours during July and August on Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays & Mondays 10am-4pm.
The 2019 Summer Tours commence on Friday, 28 June and end on Monday, 26 August on the days specified above.
Each tour will run approximately 30 minutes.
On occasion, Government House will be closed for tours due to a scheduled event. Please check this website or the Lieutenant Governor's Facebook page for information on potential closures.
Admission is free and the guided tours are offered on a first-come, first-served basis.
The tours will be offered in English; however, the tour guides are fluently bilingual (English and French). Advance reservations not permitted.
The tour offers visitors a glimpse of the main floor of Government House. Visitors will view the Main Foyer, Grand Staircase, Ballroom, Morning Room, Drawing Room and Dining Room.
Visitors are welcome to take photographs throughout the tour.
Tours are available for students from all schools in Nova Scotia. All student tour requests must be booked at least six weeks in advance.

Tours are also available for groups and organizations interested in the history of Government House and the Office of the Lieutenant Governor. Tours are not available to commercial operators. All group tour requests must be booked at least six weeks in advance.
