His Honour Brigadier-General The Honourable J.J. Grant CMM, ONS, CD, (Ret’d), Lieutenant Governor of Nova Scotia is pleased to welcome the Executive Council of Nova Scotia to Government House for the first time since restorations were completed in 2009. 

There is a long tradition of the Executive Council meeting at Government House, indeed the first meeting of a Responsible Cabinet in the Commonwealth took place in the Drawing Room of Government House – the site where Responsible Government was first practiced in Canada. 

The Cabinet Meeting will take place on Thursday August 29, 2013 from 8:30am-10:30am.
