As Chancellor of the Order of Nova Scotia, His Honour The Honourable Arthur J. LeBlanc, ONS, QC, Lieutenant Governor of Nova Scotia, was pleased to invest the 2018 appointees in the Order of Nova Scotia at a ceremony held at Province House today.

”On behalf of Her Majesty The Queen, and all Nova Scotians, please accept my heartfelt thanks for all that you have accomplished and all that you have shared with your fellow citizens,” said His Honour.  “Your success is something from which we can all draw inspiration and pride and you truly embody the spirit of the Order by seeking outstanding achievement.”

The 2018 appointees to the Order of Nova Scotia are:

            Wade Holly SMITH, ONS (Posthumous) (Note 2)

Notes:

1.  Dr. Clotilda Douglas-Yakimchuk was unable to attend today’s ceremony and she will be invested with the insignia of the Order of Nova Scotia in a ceremony at a later date.

2.  Mrs. Sherry Jackson-Smith received the insignia of the Order of Nova Scotia in a box on behalf of her late husband.
