As the representative of Her Majesty The Queen in Nova Scotia, it is my pleasure and honour to bring you greetings from Government House.

As the year draws to a close, it is natural to reflect upon what has occurred during 2016.  Mrs. Grant and I were fortunate to travel to many parts of the province and we were delighted to meet thousands of Nova Scotians who, as always, gave us a warm welcome.  

Throughout these visits, I was pleased to meet and thank many people who have selflessly volunteered their time and resources to help those less fortunate than themselves.   It is this generosity that characterizes this wonderful province and why it is one of the finest places to live.
