Grant, CMM, ONS, CD (Ret’d) Lieutenant Governor of Nova Scotia is pleased to welcome Dr. Sara Iverson, Scientific Director of the Ocean Tracking Network on November 5, 2013 7:00pm-8:30pm. This unique event is part of Evenings @ Government House, a free public event series hosted by the Lieutenant Governor designed to celebrate civic and cultural excellence in Nova Scotia.

Dr. Sara Iverson
Sara Iverson is a biology professor at Dalhousie University and an honorary University Research Professor for distinction in scholarship. She is also the Scientific Director of the global Ocean Tracking Network, headquartered at Dalhousie. Dr. Iverson received her BSc from Duke University and her PhD jointly from the Smithsonian Institution and the University of Maryland. She is a former NSERC E.W.R. Steacie Fellow, awarded to outstanding highly promising Canadian faculty members, has supervised numerous graduate students and postdoctoral fellows, and has authored more than 125 peer-reviewed publications.
