Swearing-In Ceremony at Government House
The Government of Nova Scotia has created the Department of Cyber Security and Digital Solutions to transform the way services are developed and delivered. A focus will also be on enhancing cybersecurity.
The Honourable Colton LeBlanc was sworn-in as the Minister of Cyber Security and Digital Solutions at Government House.
Natasha Clarke, Associate Deputy Minister and Chief Digital Officer of Service Nova Scotia and Internal Services, was named as the Deputy Minister of the new department.
“The pandemic taught us that we can pivot fast to deliver services quickly and virtually, but that was only the first step,” said Minister LeBlanc. “This new department is the next step in transforming the way we work so we are agile and responsive in everything we do. Ultimately, this will allow us to better serve Nova Scotians.”
Staff from Nova Scotia Digital Services, which was formerly part of Service Nova Scotia and Internal Services, will move to the new department.
