On 15 February 2021 we celebrate the 56th anniversary of the adoption of the National Flag of Canada.
Adopted by resolution of the Senate and House of Commons, and formalized by a Royal Proclamation of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, Queen of Canada, 28 January 1965, the National Flag of Canada (the “Maple Leaf”) was raised on 15 February 1965 at 1pm EST, Parliament Hill, Ottawa.
His Honour The Honourable Arthur J. LeBlanc, Lieutenant Governor of Nova Scotia, accompanied by Her Honour Mrs. Patsy LeBlanc, raised the National Flag of Canada at Government House Halifax in celebration of this special day.
