Government House Celebrates African Heritage Month with Youth Panel

NEWS RELEASE Four young African Nova Scotians will share their insights on youth leadership and community engagement at a panel discussion at Government House, 1451 Barrington St., Halifax on Tuesday, Feb. 4, at 7 p.m. The panel will be moderated by Mayann Francis, former lieutenant governor of Nova Scotia and the first African Nova Scotian to hold the position. Prince of Wales, Duchess of Cornwall to Visit Nova Scotia

Employers Recognized for Championing Persons with Disabilities

Ten employers in the province have been recognized for championing persons with disabilities in the workplace. They were presented with the Lieutenant Governor's Persons with Disabilities Employer Partnership Awards today, Dec. 2, in Halifax.
