Dianne Marshall

An author of four books on the history of Halifax, Dianne is a native Haligonian who has been intrigued by its history since she was a young child.  Her first book, Georges Island – The Keep of Halifax Harbour, was published in 2003.  Since 2009, she and Margot Brunelle have been a regular feature on CBC’s Information Morning. 

Margot Brunelle

A longtime journalist with CBC Radio, Margot grew up in Montreal and Ottawa, the daughter of a British war bride and French Canadian paratrooper,  who made history, the arts and travel an integral part of family life.  From an early age, Margot was drawn to the sea and moved to Nova Scotia in 1979. Her series with Dianne has been one of the highlights of Margot's career of story-telling and it has garnered an enthusiastic response from listeners all over the province!
