Remembrance Day Message
Today and on all days, we remember those who lost their lives answering the call to serve our province and our country. We also recognize our veterans and all who wear a uniform, for they have done much to defend our freedom and way of life.
There are no words to fully express our gratitude to those who have chosen a life of service. This commitment to fellow Canadians is not something that can be set aside at the end of the day or even at the end of a career. We offer our deepest respect and heartfelt thanks to those who have made such profound sacrifices.
As a community, we mourn the loss of those who paid the ultimate price for our freedom and feel their absence among us. Yet even in sorrow, we draw strength from their legacy of bravery and determination. When our own courage falters, their example renews our resolve.
We invite all Nova Scotians to wear a poppy this week to honour our veterans and the many sacrifices that have shaped our national identity.
Lest we forget.
