Video Highlights from the Speech from the Throne
Did you know that the primary responsibility of the Lieutenant Governor is to act as the representative of King Charles III in Nova Scotia? The role of the Sovereign, the offices of the Governor General, and the Lieutenant Governor are fixed in the Canadian Constitution.
One duty related to the Lieutenant Governor's constitutional role is to deliver the Speech from the Throne. During the First Session of the 65th General Assembly of the Nova Scotia Legislature, His Honour the Honourable Mike Savage, Lieutenant Governor of Nova Scotia, delivered this speech, outlining the legislative agenda for the session.
We would like to thank the team at Legislative Television, including Alexa Maclean, Broadcast Operator, for capturing key moments. Please enjoy a recap of the Speech from the Throne.
