Today marks the 69^th Anniversary of when Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, Queen of Canada, acceded to the throne on the passing of her father His Majesty King George VI. 

The Queen is now in the 70^th year of her reign.  Plans are under development to mark the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee in 2022.
